Quality Technician | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against specifications.
• Conduct various tests using precision measuring instruments and equipment.
• Document inspection results, test data, and non-conformances accurately.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate quality control equipment and gauges.
• Generate quality reports and analyze data to identify trends.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Skilled in using various precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced metrology equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) for SPC and data trending.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience conducting internal or supplier quality audits.
