Position: IT Project/Program Manager
Location: Onsite - Austin, TX
Duration: 6 Months plus
Job Summary
- Program Leadership:
- Organize, develop, and manage programs and activities aligned with organizational goals and mission.
- Lead modernization initiatives across Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) and System Support Services (SSS) divisions.
- Design and implement projects to automate and simplify complex business processes.
- Develop and manage program budgets and operating plans.
- Process Improvement & Automation:
- Integrate AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify, analyze, and implement process improvements using methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.
- Establish standardized project management practices, documentation, and reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
- Serve as a bridge between teams to ensure effective collaboration, alignment, and communication.
- Facilitate cross-division communication, consensus building, and decision-making.
- Develop and implement adoption strategies to encourage use of new tools and practices.
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Create actionable project plans with measurable milestones.
- Monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive progress reports to leadership.
- Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and ethical AI standards.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
- Reporting & Accountability:
- Track and report on key metrics (stakeholder satisfaction, cycle time reduction, compliance).
- Maintain accountability for project results and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership:
- Oversee and mentor project team members, including interns and early-career professionals.
- Promote technical and professional growth within the team.
