Quality Engineer | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $72,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO, IATF).
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including APQP and PPAP submissions.
• Maintain and update quality management system (QMS) documentation and records.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing)
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis)
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant industry standards
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and apply GD&T principles
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Proficiency with statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Experience with specific industry quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 13485).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
